Hello friends & Family!
I have committed to taking my first missionary journey to Uganda, Africa.
The journey is scheduled for July 7, 2023. Since this is my first missionary “journey”, I am a little nervous and I honestly don’t know what exactly to expect. However, I am looking forward to the ongoing service in furthering Gods Kingdom through this adventure.
I came to know Christ at the age of 8 years old. I spent my 20’s and 30’s “building my testimony”. In 2010 through a series of circumstances I rededicated my life to Jesus.
Over the next several years I was blessed to use my gifts to edify the church through overseeing women’s ministry, creating and facilitating Bible studies, small groups, teaching women spiritual disciplines through structured discipleship, public speaking engagements and counseling individuals using God’s Word to encounter freedom from spiritual strongholds.
Towards the end of 2018 I was informed I was in stage 4 kidney failure. After suffering for 30 years with chronic pain, chronic hypertension and limited mobility, I was completely healed January of 2019! God’s choosing to heal me lit a fire in me to serve Him at a greater capacity. This miracle birthed the unapologetic Evangelist inside of me.
When this opportunity to go to Uganda was presented, it was without hesitation. God has been preparing me for 3 years for this journey and I’m honored to be used by Him to share the Gospel in areas that most are not willing to go.
I will be going as part of a large mission team with CTMAfrica.org. CTM (Christ Transformation Ministries) has more than 200 church plants in the remote villages of Uganda.
The Ugandan villagers are far from the urban centers and difficult to reach, so they are grateful when others, especially westerners visit them. They openly share that they experience intense spiritual and material poverty.
Our aim for this mission is to serve the unreached Mishibochek people on Mt. Elgon in eastern Uganda. There are no roads, no schools, no electricity, no hospitals, and most have never been to school or have seen a doctor. Our team will be part of many outreaches including medical missions, pastoral training, women’s and youth conferences, church construction and dedication, Jesus Film, and evangelism.
I am humbled to be part of the group the Lord is using to bring about his work in the lives of a remote people group.
This last year overseeing a Coffee Shop Ministry (Phoenix Strange Brew) I have learned there are three ways to participate in any missionary endeavor. Pray, Obey and Serve. Not all may be able to financially support or serve in the capacity of traveling (Go); however, I can confidently declare that we can all pray.
Please pray for the preparation, the missionaries going and those being ministered to.
If you would like to financially support me it would be very much appreciated
You may also make checks payable to CTM Africa. Donations and financial support are tax deductible. Write “Tish Uganda Mission” in the memo section.

With love,
Tish
