my sweet boy cthulhu is a bit of a medical enigma. what started with him refusing to eat or use his litter tray, has lead to vets and specialists being utterly perplexed by his condition (or lack thereof). everything about him is healthy, his lungs, heart, kidney etc. he doesn’t show any signs of infection, inflammation, illness… aside from strange bronchial patterning in his lungs - which would usually suggest feline asthma. but cthulhu doesn’t have any symptoms associated with feline asthma, or any respiratory related illness/disease for that matter. cthulhu’s vet said that she has never in the 20+ years of her career seen lungs like his, let alone without any respiratory symptoms. 
so as you can probably imagine, i’m at a loss. there are other areas of diagnostics that can be done to *try* and get answers (CT scans, MRI, further blood-work, ultrasounds etc.) but these aren’t cheap. i’ve already exhausted my insurance’s annual condition limit with the fees i’ve paid up to now for consults, blood-work, urinalysis, x-rays, medication etc. on friday i was quoted that CT scans/inpatient *alone* would be £3k+, this isn’t money i can just find, and because i’m a student and registered disabled (receiving PIP and LCWRA) i’m unable to get any credit based loans/payment plans. 
i feel guilty that i, as cthulhu’s mom, can’t pay for his medical bills. it makes me feel like a terrible parent to him. he’s my life, my baby. but i won’t rest until i get answers regarding his health, hence why i’ve (reluctantly) made this gofundme. if u can help, or know someone who can - if there are any charities or organisations that offer subsidised veterinary care, please let me know.
