Hi, my name is Meg, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help saving my cat Sweetie.
Sweetie has been my constant companion for years. Through hard days and good ones, she’s been by my side with her gentle purrs and quiet love. She is my emotional support and my angel baby — the one steady, comforting presence I’ve had through everything life has thrown at me.
She’s only 7 years old. She was supposed to be at the halfway point of her life. I thought I’d have at least another 7 years with her. I’m not ready to let her go, and she’s not ready either. But now, she needs urgent medical care to have that chance.
Just three days ago, Sweetie suddenly became lethargic, stopped eating, started vomiting, and could barely walk. Her eyes were glazed, and she was clearly in pain. I rushed her to the vet, where bloodwork revealed some serious concerns:
Severe dehydration
Liver and kidney abnormalities
Possible systemic illness
Anemia
The vet strongly recommended immediate hospitalization, IV fluids, a feeding tube, and an abdominal ultrasound to understand what is making her so sick. These treatments could save her life, but I had to decline them because I simply cannot afford the upfront cost.
Sweetie is still not eating, and her condition hasn’t improved. I’m doing everything I can at home: offering her favourite foods, trying to keep her hydrated, and watching her closely, but without real treatment, she is at serious risk of getting worse.
That’s why I’m asking for your help.
I am trying to raise $5,000 to cover:
Hospitalization and supportive care
IV fluids and feeding tube
Abdominal ultrasound and further diagnostics
Emergency care if her condition worsens
Any amount helps. If you can donate or even share this fundraiser, it would mean everything to me. Sweetie is not just a pet. She is family. She is my heart. And I believe she still has time left if she can get the help she needs.
Thank you so much for reading, and for supporting Sweetie in her fight to survive.
With love and gratitude,
Meg
