Next Sunday the 8th September myself and a few friends will be tackling 8-10 miles of tough mudder in aid of supporting my Dad. Please read below to see why we are aiding him:
On Sunday 25th August myself and my family received a terrible phone call that Dad (Steve Woods) had been hit by a lorry, he was out cycling with a close friend on a 2 day bike ride when he was knocked off his bike by a lorry which then ran over both of his legs, Dad has suffered some terrible injuries, including a completely broken and shattered left leg which he had surgery on almost straight away to mend. As well as many more injuries to his right leg which still haven’t fully been solved. This was terrible news to get however as a family we are blessed that he is still here and is going to pull through and hopefully make a full recovery. Dad is a very hard working individual, and a big family man, unfortunately he is self employed and is not going to have any income during the coming months that he is going to be off his feet. With Dads permission I have managed to convince him that setting up this gofundme page to help himself and my Mum get through this tough time is in his best interest, he wasn’t for this at first as he does not wish to accept others help, however given the severity of the situation he has allowed me to set up this fundraising page. Any donations at all or help that can be given would be greatly appreciated, this is a very tough time for our family and we have already received so much support from family, friends and loved ones, thank you so much to everybody who has helped already, and thank you to those who help in the future.
