It's happening!! Well, if we can raise the funds... but that's where you come in! The city of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, has agreed to allow the construction of a cross country course on their new 100 acre equestrian facility. This would be an amazing opportunity to share the sport of eventing with a local, horse supporting, rural community, as well as provide a venue for recognized and schooling events for the state and surrounding region. The city has provided the land and equipment use, but currently is unable to provide substantial financial support. (But that may change if they are able to see how much support there is for the project from other sources:)) Course designer/builder James Atkinson has visited the site and has come up with a course with tracks running through the preliminary level. The current facility has 3 arenas and is set up to run a full horse trials, if we can get a cross country course. Let's show them what we can do!
Any contribution is greatly appreciated, no amount is too small, but I want you to think if you've ever considered "what I wouldn't give to have another eventing venue in Utah", now is your chance! Volunteers and labor will certainly be needed and appreciated, but at this time what we really need is financial support to get the ball rolling. Thank you! Go eventing!
