Hello,

I am writing this for my daughter Lydia who has been facing a very difficult health journey. After my husband Greg died in 2023, Lydia began experiencing symptoms we did not understand. In May of this year, her condition worsened. After multiple doctor visits she was referred to a neurologist who discovered she has Chiari Malformation I. Several MRI’s later, it was revealed that her brain was pushed 10mm through the base of her skull, pressing on her brainstem and blocking spinal fluid flow.

After being out of work since May and trying to figure out the best next steps, Lydia underwent major surgery on August the 6th. The neurosurgeon removed a portion of her skull and half of her C1 vertebrae to create more space for her brain, and restore spinal fluid flow. Her recovery will take time and she will need physical therapy twice a week to regain strength and mobility.

During this time I want Lydia to focus on healing, not stressing over medical bills or lost income. This is why I’m asking for your help. Romans 8:18 reminds us: “The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
