Chaffin Family, Rebuilding on Hope
On August 4th, 2014, a record breaking rainfall in the Mesa County Colorado area caused a flash flood that destroyed the home of the Chaffin Family. Thankfully they were not home when the tragedy occured and the family is safe. However, Charlie, his wife Amanda (Garrison) Chaffin and their 8 year old daughter Samantha, have lost everything.
Home owner's insurance will not cover any of the damage because it was caused by a flood. Typically, people in the desert do not have flood insurance! They are responsible to pay off the existing mortgage on the destroyed home. The cost of rebuilding and replacing possessions, including vehicles, is entirely on their shoulders. At this time, they only have the clothes on their backs.
Please consider helping this young family rebuild what was taken from them in this devastating natural disaster.
