Help Renée Fight Cancer

Mom. Néné. Wife. Sister. Daughter. Friend - Most beautiful human on Earth: Renée.

I mean, we may be biased because she's ours, but to know my Mom is to know love. Not only is she our mom, but everyones. Mom has always taken our friends, her friends, anyone who needs a "Mom" under her wing. She's always there to reassure those in her life that they are never alone. No matter what time, no matter where, no matter the situation, she would be there to offer a ride, a hug, an ear, advice or laughter - we can all depend on her to make us laugh (even at her expense) lol. We could go on and on about the beautiful ways my mom has helped every person that has ever had the privilege to be surrounded in her love bubble ultimately; there are no words to describe how she has helped everyone in her life... It's our turn to give back to her.

In December of 2021, she found a lump in her breast. As is the nature of mom, we were optimistic that it was just a cyst; however, our optimism only went so far. In January of 2022, our fears became a reality, and she was officially diagnosed with breast cancer. If that wasn't bad enough, it isn't her first or second battle with cancer. First was cervical (25), then thyroid (32), now breast (50). You can imagine our devastation when we found out the woman who had given us life, love and support, the woman who holds our family together, and so many others, would have to fight for her life yet again.

This process will undoubtedly be a grueling one. Chemo for six months. Mastectomy. Possible Radiation. More Chemo. We are looking at a year of overcoming cancer. We know she will kick Cancer's ass again, but it will be a more challenging fight, though; with the love and support from those in her community, she will be able to power through with the positivity she radiates.

What's next? Why are we creating this? Cancer has a way of f*cking with everything. There are expenses we have yet to be able to calculate. Expenses - outside the regular everyday expenses of life, include gas (hour commute there and back weekly), comfort accessories (such as the things to help her navigate chemo with the least amount of side effects) and wigs (they certainly don't give these away). Mom cannot work for at least a year, and dad will have to take time off to care for her. Please consider donating to her fight to ease some financial stressors; we are forever grateful.
