We got unfortunate news today - the medicine we've been using to treat Syrio's lung issues hasn't been working, so we need to do CT scan in order to zero in on the issue and how to treat it. This test alone is $2,500, and after a few months of vet visits, I'm unable to cover this on my own.
The funds will be used to get him immediate help - I'll be taking him to the emergency clinic to get the scans done within the next week. The vet is hopeful that this is the last step needed before we can determine his long-term treatment options.
If this procedure were for me, I likely wouldn't post this. But Syrio has been with me for a decade (yet still acts like a kitten!) and has so much life left in him; I would be failing him if I didn't try.
Thank you in advance - I know most of us are operating on thin margins as it is, and every ounce of help and good wishes is deeply appreciated.
