Lui's Abcess Treatment & Wilmi's Palliative Treatment

Hi, my name is Elisabeth from Germany, living with cage-free bunnies since 15+ years and for the first time I really need help to get one of them the vet treatment he needs. That's a rather unpleasant situation for me. But due to a really bad job situation (too few projects because of the difficult economic situation in Germany) I really struggle to pay the vet bills.

I got Lui from a foster home as a new partner animal almost exactly 4 years ago. From the very first moment, he was an enormously funny whirlwind who loves and spoils his ladies. Unfortunately, it soon turned out that none of his teeth are as they should be. They are all crooked in his jaw and have had to be trimmed every one or two months since then.

This summer, his condition suddenly worsened. His right eye started to water and he stopped eating. X-rays showed that we had to pull two teeth to clear the nasolacrimal canal and to free him from the pain in his jaw. Unfortunately, since then, inflammations and abscesses have been recurring, which have to be removed and flushed several times a week at the vet.

Our vet is great and very experienced, but even she hasn't been able to solve the mystery of where the pus keeps coming from. As soon as one abscess is removed, the next one appears millimeters away. (see update at the bottom)

For me, it goes without saying that we have to keep looking for the cause and finally manage to cure it. Lui wants to spend many more years munching, jumping around, playing tricks and cuddling with his partner Wilmi.

According to our vet we can only find out the actual cause with a CT scan, which is really expensive (read update below). Since the summer, Lui's treatment has cost me already around €5,000. A CT scan and the subsequent hopefully curative treatments will result in further high costs.

Unfortunately, it has now also turned out that his partner Wilmi has a tumor, which is being removed at this very moment. That's another 1000-Euros bill.
