I have struggled to find the words to accurately describe Jake’s situation because I want to do it the justice it deserves. He has been through so much in his short years and his fight isn’t over. After receiving his long awaited new heart last year, he was recently diagnosed with cancer and now has a new battle ahead. Melissa is unable to work and is again separated indefinitely from her 5 other children while Jake receives care in St. Louis.  Financially, this will be quite difficult for them so we would love to be able to alleviate some of their burden so the focus can remain on Jake’s care and recovery.  To read more about Jake’s journey you can visit his FB page at:
