Annie's surgery and Recovery!

Hi Everyone!

We are fundraising for the wonderful Verderaime family as they help their daughter Annie through a life-changing surgery and recovery. She has had severe tracheomalacia (improperly developed trachea) since birth, leading to life-long challenges in breathing. She has a 95% collapse in her trachea, meaning she only has a 5% breathing capacity at the moment. She also has further complications from a posteriorly located aortic arch, which further compresses her trachea with every heartbeat.

On January 6th, she will be flown on a medic flight with a full respiratory team to St. Petersburg, Florida, for a life-changing surgery only offered at two hospitals in the United States. They will be removing 1/3 of her trachea, repositioning her esophagus, and rerouting conflicting blood vessels.

We are fundraising with the goal of helping the Verderaime family meet the costs of the medical flight, surgery, and recovery process so that Annie can breath fully for the first time!
