Help Ziggy get Hip surgery
Donation protected
It’s with a heavy heart that we face this situation. We have never been a family to ask for help, we’ve always been a family who loves to help others. Please if you are in a position to help your kindness would be invaluable to us and our beautiful daughter Tiia and her border collie Ziggy.
What happened?
Our daughter Tiia was away over the long weekend with her therapy puppy Ziggy who is 7 months old along with her two siblings. They were staying on a friends property when the unimaginable happened. Little Ziggys back leg was accidentally run over by a buggie on the property, his hind leg was gashed open and his hip dislocated. He was rushed to the local vet who sedated him due to the immense pain he was in. They found his leg had received a fracture along with the dislocated hip. They managed to put his hip back in place and kept him sedated to make the long trip home.
Once home we saw our local vets who weren’t happy with a few things so more X-rays were done only to find his hip had popped out again. We were sent to SASH, a vet specialist hospital in Prospect where we were given the only option to do a toggle surgery to save his leg. The surgery is anywhere between 10-15,000. The hip is pinned in place to prevent further dislocations.
Our appeal to anyone who has read this far is to help save Tiias puppy from being put to sleep. He’s a vibrant beautiful 7 month old border collie, the life of our daughter Tiia and who has brought so much joy to her life whilst she’s gone through some personal challenges over the last year.
If there is any way you can help we would be forever grateful. As I said earlier, our family has never asked for any help ever. We’ve loved helping other families raise money for a variety of issues but find ourselves now in need of help.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this and please reach out if you would like more details before deciding to donate.
