Hi everyone!
I have some very exciting news to share with you all. I graduated from Colorado Christian University last December and shortly after moved to Orlando, FL to participate in the Disney College Program (for the second time!). Over the last six months, the Lord has laid on my heart a desire to expand His kingdom and live out the Great Commission.
Starting January 6, 2020 I will be in Newcastle, Australia to participate in Youth With a Mission (YWAM). The program is 5 months long and includes 3 months of Discipleship Training School (DTS) and 8-11 weeks of international outreach in a currently undetermined location.
YWAM's motto is to "know God and make Him known" and I am so excited to do exactly that. The DTS is designed to cultivate a living relationship with God and identify the unique gifts and callings He has given us. I am looking forward to grow in my relationship with the Lord as I study His scripture and dive deep into exploring His characteristics and learn how to evangelize in our backyard and to the nations. While in Newcastle, we will also be ministering to the youth of the city, building relationships with them through a program called Youth Street. Australia doesn't have the cultural Christianity that the United States has so the majority have not had a chance to hear the Gospel. During the outreach portion, we will be traveling to another country and put into practice what we have learned during the DTS. I won’t know where I will be going until a few weeks after I get to Australia. In the past, they have sent people all over the world. Most recently, they sent teams to Papua New Guinea, Greece and North Africa, and the Himalayas, but it is different every quarter.
In order to make this happen I need to raise $7,500-$9,000 total. The DTS costs $2,900 which includes food, accommodations and school supplies. Depending on where I am sent the outreach will cost between $2,500-$3,800 and includes travel, accommodations, and visas. The rest will go towards my student visa, medical insurance, and flights to and from Australia. I have a few deadlines in order to make this possible. The DTS cost is due before I start January 6 and the outreach fee is due March 2.
Obviously, I cannot do any of this without you, my supporters. I would appreciate it if you would consider supporting me not only financially but also through prayer.. I am so incredibly excited to see the ways that God is working through and in me. I can't wait to see Him show up in big ways!
