The Reddit community of Oilers fans is proud to give back to youth experiencing homelessness #OilCountry with the #CSP4YESS charity drive.
Two years ago, a few users in the r/EdmontonOilers community decided to make donations individually to use their passion for the Oilers to make a positive impact in the Oilers' hometown. Last year we opened the campaign on Go Fund Me and were able to raise over $2000 over the 2015/2016 season.
This year our campaign is inspired by #97 himself: Connor McDavid! A translation from a Swedish newspaper once called McDavid the "Canadian Super Promise." Ever since then, we've been called him "CSP" for short, and so this year's campaign is #CSP4YESS.
r/EdmontonOilers community members will be pledging and donating funds to Youth Empowerment & Support Services throughout the NHL season based on the goals, points, and wins that McDavid and the Oilers achieve.
We invited you to rally your fellow hockey fans, friends, and family to join us to support youth experiencing homelessness in Edmonton. Pledge a toonie for every goal McDavid makes, give $20 every time the Oilers win--it's up to you!
