Ashleigh was diagnosed with breast cancer and has already undergone a double mastectomy. Unfortunately, this was not enough to completely remove the cancer. The cancer has metastasized into her lymph nodes. Ashleigh will have to do aggressive chemo and radiation. The current plan is 5 months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation. After healing from all of this, she will also need a complete hysterectomy and DIEP flap for reconstructive therapy and 10 years of antihormonal therapy.

Unfortunately, this is going to be a long road, and they are young and were not prepared for something as unexpected as this.

She’s a mother of 3 young children and currently unable to work her normal hours. Devin is also unable to work his normal hours as Ashleigh cannot drive and needs to get back and forth to appointments. Not to mention the expense of traveling from Reed City to Grand Rapids for appointments and treatments. The bills continue to come in even though the income has greatly decreased.
