My name is Timothy Holst, and I am a teacher at The Center School, a public middle school on West 84th Street in New York City. Among many other things, I run the school's roller hockey club.
The Center School Hockey Club's storage shed collapsed during the January blizzard, leaving us without a secure place to keep our skates, sticks, and nets.
Since 2009, the CSHC has been a source of healthy fun for dozens and dozens of public school kids, many of whom first learned to skate as members of the club.
Without a new storage shed, it will be virtually impossible to continue the Center School Hockey Club at its current level. It is our hope that we can raise enough money for a shed that is sturdier than the one that collapsed. For little more than $2000, we will be able to purchase a Keter Factor Gable Storage Shed (http://www.lowes.com/pd_597397-57499-211203_0__) and have it delivered and assembled, and also have the old one removed.
(The exact cost of the shed, including delivery, is $1629. Assembly, from Stress Less Assembly, will cost an additional $409, for a total of $2038.)
Once we have reached our goal, I will personally complete the purchase and oversee the purchase and assembly.
Any amount of money you can contribute will help us to reach our goal of $2038.
