—Hi, my name is Sherry Harris & my mom, Joann Harris, was fighting colon Cancer which spread throughout her body & on 07/03/21 it won.

- She lost the ability to eat & drink even through a feeding tube. Seeing her in pain, hearing her moan for help & watching Cancer cause her to die of dehydration & starvation made me feel so helpless & like a failed daughter.

- I will forever have memories of the (2) men from Jones Mortuary who gracefully transferred her from the bed.

—They removed her brown satin pillow case & placed it over her face. As they gently rolled her on the side, I saw her bright red polished toe nails.

- They said very few words as they wrapped her in the white plastic bag & gently removed the pillowcase atop her face. I could hear them tying knots to tightened her up inside.

- They rolled her on her side again & slid an orange & blue canvas carrying bag underneath. They placed their hands gently under her as they positioned her onto the bag & then placed a grey soft fuzzy fitted blanket over her & tucked it under her body.

- Before carrying her out, they took off their top hats, placed them over their chests, said some kind empathetic words & asked for permission to remove her.

- My heart dropped when they rolled her into the vehicle, closed the door & drove off. It was then I truly felt she was gone & I wondered what I would do next.

- They showed her so much respect which made her transition to heaven easier for me.

- My heart still longs for her but I know she’s with my dad, aunt & grandma. She won’t be moaning in pain anymore. I have fond memories of us watching “Little House on the Prairie,” singing Gospel songs & Praying together.

- I’m extremely embarrassed to ask but I’m in desperate need of financial assistance.

- I’m trying to give her the funeral & burial she wanted to help unite our broken & divided family. Unfortunately, some of my siblings aren’t able to financially assist because they were unable to work due to having to take care of her the most.

I am trying to raise the money by 07/21/21.

- Thank you so much for helping & praying. Please continue to ask God to strengthen, comfort & unite my family & help me to not shut down like I did when I lost my dad.

- The funeral will be 10:00 AM on July 28, 2021 at Faith Fellowship Church in San Leandro, CA. Please join us in celebrating her home-going to be with the Lord.
