On May 24, 2023 my best friend Krystal Zimbaldi got the news no one ever wants to hear- "You have breast cancer."

As shocking as this was for all of her family and friends to take in- we all know one thing for certain- Krystal is strong and a fighter. The realities of cancer are horrible- hair loss, weak body, isolation, and a steep financial burden. She will have to undergo a double masectomy, several rounds of chemotherapy, and multiple surgeries. Due to this she will have to preserve her eggs in order for there to be a chance for her to have children in the future. The toll this is going to take on her body and mind will mean she will be out of work for extended periods of time.

She has a long journey ahead of her but together, as her family and friends, we can help alleviate some of her pain, worries, and the financial burden she is facing.

I have never met a kinder soul in my life- or a person more full of life. She is always willing to help anyone around her no matter the circumstance.
