My name is John, I'm in my late 50's. I'm the main money earner in our household.
As many of my friends know in 2010 I had a work related rotator cuff injury that tore 3 muscles off my rotator cuff. I was getting ready for surgery by a private surgeon, when I realized that I needed to do it as a workers comp claim. Once that was done I had to cancel all appointments and start over. It was now January 2011 and I was told I could no longer work until after I was released by the doctor. I finally had surgery mid April of 2011. I did my rehab and was finally ok'd to return to work January of 2012 and returned to work. After working three days after lunch I was told I had to call our corporate HR department. When I did I was informed that I could not work until further notice. Time went by and in August of 2012 my employment was terminated. During that time I was able to draw unemployment and looked for another job. After a year of searching I was able to find a job that allowed me to work with one of my passions, animals. The only down side was taking over a $10.00 an hour cut in pay. Over the last few years I have been doing an ok job of holding everything together, mostly by doing without many things and activities I once enjoyed. As 2016 begins I find I'm overwhelmed with everyday expenses, that I am unable to take care of. I wake up and lay in bed worried that by March we will be homeless and having trouble providing for my dogs needs, the love of my life. I am looking at trying to find a roommate to help with household expenses that are getting harder and harder to make. I have been looking into trying to buy a house to reduce that cost of living, instead of renting. I am also a survivor of 2 heart attacks in 2008 and still have two vessels that are completely occluded.
The money will be used to make up the difference of what I have and what I don't, and to make sure my household bills get paid.
Hopefullly by the middle of January some funds will start to come in so I can keep the utilities on.
This will mean that I have sometime to find a roommate to move in cutting our housing cost. It will mean that I can stop using PayPal to make my rent.
I will be eternally Greatful to those who decide to make donations. Once I have gotten myself to better place I will also pay it forward. I have wanted to help others in need but when you having trouble putting food on your own table it just isn't possible.
Thank you all for taking the time to read about me and even if all can do is send prayers and positive thoughts I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
