Ethiopia Trip - Davis Moon Project

Hi guys!
My name is Asha Easton! I'm sure most people who will see this know me, and maybe there will be some who don't, so here is a bit of background for you...
I've been living in Paris for the past 4 years and about a week ago I was offered an opportunity to go to Ethiopia from NOVEMBER 20-29th, 2015 to do some work for the Davis Moon Project, which is an organization that the company I work with sponsors.
If you know me well, you know that working with kids and helping grassroots projects is something that I truly love to do... and you would know that one of the big reasons I accepted the position at my company 2 years ago was because I really wanted to help out with the DMP organization.
DMP founded a school in rural Arbegona in the Sidamo region of the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia in 2008. Since then the school has become a great success since it was created and this year welcomed almost 2000 students.

What are the FOUR MAIN GOALS for this trip?
1. To deliver and distribute 1700 pairs of shoes to students at the DMP School.
2. To visit the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Education in Hawassa in a bid to secure electricity to the school for the 2016-2017 school year.
3. To meet with the school governing body (local officials, church officials, DMP faculty, parents and students).
4. To make DMP education videos about our work at the school.
Why am I fundraising?
1. To help to subsidize my last minute flight to Ethiopia, which I am paying for myself, so that the DMP does not incur any costs.
2. To raise money to do an art project with the students and to buy as many art supplies as I can. I'd just really love to have a more personal, fun surprise for them!! I plan to take only a few articles of clothing in my carry on for the week and then I want to fill as many suitcases as I can with art supplies.
Where will the money go?
As I mentioned, I planned from the beginning to pay my own way there so there is no cost to the organization.
I realize that this is very last minute so.....
I plan to use half of whatever is raised towards my flight, which was just under €700, and the other half towards art supplies. (For example, if I raise only €400 I will use half to offset my travel costs and the other half to buy whatever I can for the kids).
If by some amazing stroke of luck you incredible people enable me to surpass my goal, anything beyond the €1400 will be used for the art project, or given to the DMP foundation for future projects.
I just want to make sure in any scenario that the kids will always get something directly from this.
When is the DEADLINE?!
I will be leaving on Nov 20th and returning on the 29th.
I will be going out to get whatever I can on the 19th, so if you would like to contribute it would be best to do it before than!
Honestly guys, every bit helps! Whether it is €5 or €50, I will be so grateful for anything you feel you can contribute!!
