Medical/Gas/Family Memories

I am reaching out for help for a wonderful friend. Kathleen was diagnosed with Stage IIB breast cancer almost 3 years ago. Less than a year and a half later, she found out that it has metastasized to her brain. She now has stage 4 cancer with no cure. Her 5 year survival rate that she was first told about went from 90% at stage II to 22% at stage 4. She had further testing done last week and was told today, August 8th, that several more tumors have been found. Kathleen has a positive outlook on life and considers herself lucky when receiving treatment and seeing children dealing with cancer as well. However, we know that Kathleen and her husband, Chris are dealing with a lot emotionally and financally through this. Chris is a volunteer Deputy Chief with Brooks, Maine Fire Department and is currently Active Military with the Army who has fought for us and his country. Kathleen is a civilian working for the military who cannot get done her job due to the need for medical treatments and gas to get to John Hopkins on a regular basis. We would love to be able to assist them with funding for treatments, gas, and also what we consider to be very important....memories with her family. They have three daughters from the ages of 18-21 and need our help to get through this difficult time. If there is anything you can do, no amount is to small.
