Help Save Gizmo’s Life
Gizmo is fighting for his life right now. He has been a part of my family for 9 years, Gizmo was my mom dog and before my mom passed away, I promised her I would always take care of her little buddy—and I’ve done my very best to keep that promise.
Gizmo was by my mom’s side every day while she was battling terminal illness. He gave her unconditional love, purpose, and comfort during the hardest moments of her life. He was there even when I found her on the floor from low oxygen and complications from her medications. Gizmo truly was her guardian angel. When she passed, he grieved just as deeply as we did. Since then, I’ve tried to give him all the love she would have wanted for him.
Four days ago, Gizmo suddenly stopped eating. At first, I thought he might have gotten into cat litter, but after rushing him to the vet, we learned it was much worse. He has undergone bloodwork, x-rays, ultrasounds, and multiple treatments, but his liver values are dangerously high and his condition is worsening. A specialist has now confirmed that his gallbladder is leaking sludge and that he urgently needs emergency surgery to survive.
I have already spent over $9,000 on his care over the last 4 days, but the surgery will cost between $7,373–$8,856. The surgery carries risks, but without it, he has no chance. To some, he may “just be a dog,” but to me, Gizmo is family. He’s part of my mom’s legacy, and I have to do everything I can to fight for him.
Any amount of help—no matter how small—means the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, I would deeply appreciate your prayers, positive thoughts, and sharing Gizmo’s story.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
