Go Fund Me Proposal (Re-Write)
This is our inaugural year of the Computer Science (CS) course at Duarte High School. As we develop our CS Program, our forward-thinking students have the following dream goals:
1) learn how to build a computer from scratch
2) compete in robotics and cyber security
3) help and serve the needs of our community using the 3D printer
4) create an optimal and efficient learning environment in Room 108
We want the best equipment for our students to build their CS knowledge and be versatile with various Operational Systems (OS) such as the Unix, Linux, iOS, Google, Window, etc. in addition to various coding languages. We are starting with HTML, CS, and JAVA. Python is the logical next coding language to learn and teach and we are planning on starting that in the after school computer club (Student Geek Squad).
Furthermore, we want to enable our students to have the ability to apply what they have learned in competitions--robotics and cyper security. We would love to enlist mentors and advisors in robotics and cyber security. Please contact Ms. Tseng at [email redacted] and we can set up date and time to coordinate with the class and club activity. Thank you kindly!
Below is our Wish List. We graciously accept all donation-- resources, contacts, and time!
//09.06.2018 Students will update soon with their proposals as students have mentioned that they want to build their own computers as a part of learning the computer's hardware. The computers below are currently a part of a wish list.
