Crystals Lovers Support
UPDATE
Donations have now been paused as of 7 July.
Crystal made it home to Darwin after being medically cleared to fly by her doctors in Melbourne. She is now under the care of Royal Darwin Hospital, supported by her GP at Danila Dilba, her NDIS team, occupational therapist, and other local services.
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to cover essential costs, purchase everything Crystal needed, and ensure she was well cared for throughout her 9-week stay in Narrm (1 May – 5 July). Now back on Larrakia Country, her new medical team is assessing her wound and supporting the next steps in her healing journey.
We are tired but blessed.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you all.
With love,
James & Crystal
____Hi everyone,
I’ve created this GoFundMe to help support Crystal Love Johnson, myself (James Emery - Crystal' next of kin), and her close circle of family and friends in Naarm and Darwin as we continue to stand by her side during a difficult time at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Crystal has been in hospital since the 1st of May and has already undergone several surgeries to treat a serious infection.
Thanks to early intervention, she’s stable and showing incredible strength, but her journey is far from over.
We’re taking things day by day, starting with a small goal on this page to help ease the immediate pressures.
These funds will help with the practical costs of being by her side in Naarm—travel, meals, and support—as well as assisting family and friends visiting or those back home in Darwin looking after things while she’s in hospital such as electricity bill and house sitting.
WE REACHED THE SUPPORT TARGET - Have now increased to purchase items for when Mum can return home, cleaning and items to ensuse she is able to rest.
Crystal is the heart of our family our community—our mother, grandmother, aunty, sister, and Australian icon. We’re so thankful for the love, messages, and strength you’ve all sent her way. Your support, in any form, helps her stay strong on this journey home.
I will manage the funds, any support will help me help her and others.
I commit to publishing an inventory every fortnight on this page to show where your funds have been spent
With love and thanks,
James
