Donation protected
I was recently diagnosed with Fibrolamellar Carcinoma. Which is a very rare cancer (about 1 in 5,000,000 people contract this disease) predominantly striking people in their teens to 40.
I’ll be meeting with/Drs on Monday & will probably have a pet scan to make sure nothing else is hiding before the Dr’s decide the best treatment options. As long as there’s no cancer anywhere else, I’d probably have a liver resection to remove all or most of the tumor.
We’ll know more in the days to come & I’ll update as we move forward.
Moving forward whether I have a liver resection, chemo, radiation, alternative treatments or nothing. I’m going to need to lean on my family, friends & community not only for myself but especially for my “kids & husband!” I need my family with me as much as possible during this time.
So I’ve started a go fund me page to try & help lessen the financial load, so Kyle & kids can be with me as much as possible while I receive treatments.
This rare cancer is a beast & has a reoccurrence rate of 45-65% within the first 2yrs after resection & even after a successful liver transplant.
Right now we have to take it day by day & be ready to try and beat the odds!
Thank you for everyone’s love & support. It’s truly unexpected & appreciated far beyond my wildest expectations.
Lastly LeRoy Community you have a very special place in my heart! ❤️
Love & Bless You All!
It take a village!
