Hey guys!
As of December 28th, my stepmom Crystal was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The tumor is pushing into her ear canal, causing severe pain and spouts of trouble with equilibrium, alongside headaches and major anxiety . Because of the placement of the tumor on her brain, she was immediately put on antiseizure medication, until the doctors see the severity of the tumor, and how fast and serious the growth of it is. After 4 days of being in the hospital, Crystal found out that her job was unable to keep her, due to the liability risk of seizing or have a brain bleed at work. She is currently not guaranteed a position back at her job, due to human resources not accepting her leave time because she has not been at her job for over 12 months yet.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was just 8 years old. To see another family member have to fight the same fight, but with the pressure of being a head of household and raising children, just breaks my heart. I have an incredibly hard time asking other for help, no matter the situation and my family is the same way, never asking for help, but instead, always giving selflessly. If you know my moms, you know they'll give until they have no more.
No matter the amount, if you are able and willing, please help my family get through this rough patch as they are currently going through loss of income and the possibility of extreme medical bills.
We appreciate the positive energy and love from all.
Thank you,
Vincent Chiesa
