Crystal's Daughter Funds

On December 5th of 2020 Crystal went to Lakeside Hospital and after many lab tests & procedures she was diagnosed with Influenza A and sent home. She began feeling worse, so she went to Methodist ER and prescribed more meds,no improvement. She was sent home from there also! She was weak, fatigue & her chest was very heavy and could barely walk. Monday morning Crystal said, "I can't move! I don't want to die, mom!!" Ambulance came and took her. More lab tests, x-rays, swab cultures were done. She was now dealing with Influenza & Pneumonia in both lungs causing her to barely breathe on her own. They moved her to ICU & told her she needed to be put on a bipap machine which will help push fluid out of her lungs and also help her breathe because she couldn't on her own! After trying bipap & blender tube, December 12th 2020, mom received a phone call from her Critical Care doctor who said "These infections are taking over, she is decreasing and we need to sedate her & put her on a ventilator (life support) or she will not make it through this" They got to work and the doctor tells us they needed to "act quickly" and from here things will get better with time, but it is a waiting game. Day 2 on the vent, December 13th, Infectious Disease doctor tells mom she is worsening and she might not make it through this Crystal showed us through the day she COULD fight this, her ventilator numbers started to slowly improve.
December 14th day 3 on the ventilator, nurses gave her a bath changed etc. All that moving her around caused her numbers to decline again. Critical care team & respiratory therapists are checking on her every 20-30 minutes to see if they are improving again. And advised us she also has Sepsis. That is where we are today. More updates to come.
Despite this, she has always held her head high and has amazed her friends and family with her strength and selflessness.
Gfm funds have been used  for assistance for her 15 y.o. daughter Natalie's needs, gas since we do travel to Lincoln multiple times a week to visit her which adds up and items we purchase for Crystal for her room or personal hygiene  which Madonna doesn't provide all though some amazing nurses will buy her stuff on their own sometimes so we did make sure to get them a gift as a thank you over the Holidays.

Many thanks and love from Vicky,Frank Sally,Allysha,Jeremy, Natalie and family .
