Tornado destroyed my moms life in Crystal River.

Hi my name is Mia and I'm helping my mom Alice Tade, a 77 year old widow to put her life back together after her home was destroyed by the tornadoes that ripped through Crystal River at about 2:30am Thursday, October 12th, 2023.

Within the last two years she was diagnosed with lung cancer, went to Moffitt Cancer Center and although she's not a 100% cancer free she is doing well. While recovering came down with what we thought was the flu or covid only to he told she had a heart attack and now this. She wasn't physically hurt during the tornado but it's taken an emotional toll on her mental health after realizing she survived, then discovering the hugh tree had smashed onto the carport and sunroom leaving her stuck inside with her cat, KitKat until daylight so neighbors could help get her out.

After the fire department told her she couldn't live there we applied for Disaster Assistance but FEMA cant get Federal funding and can't help her until it's declared to Disaster by the governor.

So this is how we've come up with the total of $20,000.

1.To replace and install a new electrical meter is almost $3,000. 

2. To have the trailer removed  and taken to the dump she was quoted between $4,000 to $7,000. 

3. To find another used mobile home we've figured about $10,000 and then to move it to her property $5,000.
