Hello, I am Don Raskin and I am starting this Gofundme for my wonderful wife Crystal Raskin, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer back in early July of this year. She had felt the lump in her left breast one morning and scheduled an appointment with the doctor to have it checked out. After some tests, she was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer. Further tests showed that the size was too big, she was not a candidate for a lumpectomy, and chemo beforehand would not shrink it. (lots and lots of tests here). The result of all of this will be a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Date for this surgery is September 1st, with recovery afterwards.

Crystal, for anyone who knows her, is a warm, open, social, friendly person with a very positive attitude. She is handling this the best that she can and remains positive throughout this very trying, life-changing experience. With that, she has insurance, but it only goes so far, and the medical bills are adding up.

For those who know me, I will be having a fundraising sale of comics and records in September, but I also wanted to start this fundraiser to help with the medical costs as they come in.

My wife will be a cancer survivor success story, but I am hoping to relieve some of the financial stress this is causing and allow her to only focus on her recovery.
