Hi there. A friend of mine, Crystal Lewis, who works at UAB was in a terrible “hit and run,” auto accident in Birmingham about a week ago and needs your help.
She lives alone, in a rental house with her dog, Willow, who is “her life.”
The crash broke her femur so badly, the bone ripped out of her leg. Her arm is also badly broken and she has lacerations all over. She had to be cut out of her car. Sorry for the graphic details, but it was a bad situation. She has now been through three surgeries.
She does have health care, so that is good! However, as you can imagine, her rent is not being paid, (she’s afraid of losing the rental house) her car is gone, she’s having to get caregivers for her dog, not sure when she will be able to work again. To top it all off, she has no family here. Her family in Kansas City can not help her financially. She is not only in physical pain, but the emotional worries are a big issue.
I know times are tuff so if you can’t help, I totally understand. If you do have a few extra dollars that could help Crystal and Willow, it would be helpful, and greatly appreciated. ❤️
