Crypto scam took my brother for over $50,000!

Hello,
Like many who experience a financial crisis, my brother wants to fight it out and make a comeback by picking himself up by his bootstraps and trudging on, but this is one of those times where he reached to grab those laces and found his boots were gone, lost in the mud.
My brother, Greg Hornbuckle, had more than $50,000 dollars stolen from him in an elaborate cryptocurrency scam. He is not the only victim of this kind of scam as it has become over a billion-dollar industry of deception annually.
So, here is the situation Greg is in, and why I'm reaching out to see if you may be able to help him get back on his feet.
My brother is in the middle of the roughest time he's ever experienced in his life, and his whole world is being turned upside down.
First of all, for those of you who may not know my wonderful brother, he married young out of high school, and in order to provide for his growing family he enlisted in the army 11 years ago as a Medic. He's been doing well serving his time for our country and providing medical services to those in his company, but as we flash forward to today.
His health started to take a turn for the worse, injuries sustained to his back has left him in a lot of pain, especially during the physical requirements of army life. On top of that, he's now suffering from a rare and extreme form of asthma that requires specialized medicine to control, which comes and at a very a high cost. He is now in process to be medically separated from his military service, which will end his career with the army, and at this time it is unknown how much the military will provide for his benefits.
In the midst of the medical issues and transitioning out of the military, his marriage of 18 years ended in divorce, which has only added emotional and financial burdens to his already difficult situation.
So, in light of these struggles my brother was looking for other ways to provide for him and his two sons, and someone he met online had a supposed answer to his problems with crypto. For him, it was too good to pass up, when in reality it was too good to be true.
The scam runs like this:
- Scammer gains your trust
- Introduces you to the magic of crypto currency
- Sets you up in a corrupt exchange, where they have full control.
- Gives you a chance to test the system with a small amount of money to see how well it works
- Encourages you to put in large quantities of money to gain big wins.
- Charges you with a fee to get the supposed big wins
- Offers to help you pay the large fee when you want to get your funds
- The exchange locks you out of receiving any funds after paying the fee
- The scammers ask for their "money" back that they gave you to get the fee paid off so they can take more money
Greg was able to catch the scam before paying the fee, but had already gone all in with a large personal loan from the bank, which is now gone, stolen.
There are many in need of help, but if you are able to directly assist Greg, we are hoping you would consider supporting him now. After leaving the army he has plans to use his medical knowledge to springboard him into a medical profession, so he can continue to support himself and his family, but this has been a major blow to those plans. He's now paying a mortgage and this massive loan on a military salary, which is not enough for him to be able to cover them and living expenses, which will only get worse after his medical discharge. We are hoping that the GoFundMe might help him recover what was lost over the course of this scam by your tremendous generosity.
I've linked a news video that describes what others have gone through with this kind of crypto scam.
We want others to be aware of what is happening out there, and how many are losing their livelihoods to these thieves.
We are so grateful for your support!
A financial gift may not be possible, but if you would please help Greg by spreading this campaign to inform others of the crypto scam. They can be informed and possibly help Greg as well!
