THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN!!!!!
My name is Chanel, and ever since I was a young girl, babysitting and volunteering with younger children, everyone assumed that it was in God's plan that I would one day be an amazing and loving mother.
Sadly, while I and my partner Jared were making our plans to create a future together and start a family of our own, we were blindsided with tragic news. Instead of preparing for a bun in the oven, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Bilateral Breast Cancer. I underwent a double mastectomy the day before Thanks Giving 2019. I am now scheduled to begin chemotherapy at the end of this month, which will end my chance to ever have my own biological children. While Cancer has taken and will likely continue to take much from me, this is one thing that I am trying to desperately hold onto.
I am a hard worker as is my partner, and I am one to normally be working for a charity rather than asking for it. We can afford the mounting expenses to save my life. What we can't cover, with only a month deadline, is the cost to preserve my chance at my own children. While there will be other options in the future for our family, should God’s will this not take, I would regret not doing everything in my power to fight for this chance.
It is only with this time limit hanging over us that we humbly ask for any help that you may be able to give. This is not something that I could ever repay you, and it comes with no guarantee. What it will give me is Hope. Hope that I may still one day have this wonderful gift of life for my family. That hope will buoy me as I continue on my road to recovery, and all I can do in return for this kindness is to say thank you and offer your name in my prayers for blessings. As I do for simply taking the time to read this.
Your precious gift will be helping me to pay for office visits, hormone treatments, and medications. It will also cover the cost of surgical egg retrieval and 1 year of storage. These costs are due upfront and we have already exhausted all avenues of assistance in this endeavor, which leave us to cover the rest through the kindness of strangers and God's grace. We are thankful to have the help of Livestrong to help us with these costs. We praise the work of the Fertility Institute of Hawaii who is working with my Cancer Care team to help with all the setup and paperwork of juggling my fertility concerns while also fighting so hard for my recovery. I never thought I would find myself it this situation, but I thank God for the angels that he has sent and continues to send into my life to help me through this...
