Support Edgar Cruz's Battle Against Renal Failure

Hello, my name is Edgar Cruz, I am a 37 year old who has struggled with his health since the age of 16. My first diagnosis of my health journey was Cancer Type A.L.L(Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) aka blood cancer. I was barely turning into a young man when all my dreams were crushed the second I was told I had cancer. At the time when you would here the term "cancer" you would immediately think death. Not many patients survived nor fought a long battle. Thankfully I did my part by following the doctors orders and we were able to go through chemotherapies and radiations. While I was going through this process, due to chemotherapies, the radiations, and the steroids they gave me, I developed Diabetes type 2. Which led me to taking long lasting and short active insulin along with other medication to help me control and manage the diabetes. During the month of April 2012, thankfully I had my Stem Cell Transplant donated from an umbilical cord. After being remission with Cedars Sinai for 6 years, they told me that I no longer had cancers cells and I was able to see a regular primary doctor in my hometown. Thankfully, on my part I was able to control my diabetes and cancer, but it seems that my primary doctor didn't do her part. The reason I say this is because once I was given the okay to work, I started working a part time job as a cashier but suddenly throughout the time I would have lots of cramps and pain on my legs and I decided to go see my primary doctor. She claimed that the sock material I was wearing was affecting skin which caused the pain, cramps, and dark skin color. I listened to her and I threw away all my socks and even other clothes and bought new ones that she recommended would help me. But it didn't, I went back again a second time and this time the issue on my leg became worse. It started on my ankle and proceeded to go higher up to my knee and this time it was on both legs, not just one. Her response this time was that maybe my laundry detergent or soap could be causing this issue. So I went back home, switched everything to non-essential laundry products and even my shower products had to be non-essential and as natural as possible. On the next appointment I had with her, I showed her that my legs started to swell, the dark skin rose to my knees and became worse, and the cramping pain became worse as well. Her answer to this was due to lack of potassium. She then prescribed me potassium pills to take. One day while I was working, my legs got extremely swollen that walking became an issue. I noticed small skin tears were showing up on my legs. I got sent home that day but I went to the ER because the pain and swelling became unbearable and I knew there was something wrong. Walking and standing became difficult for me. The ER then diagnosed me with Acute Renal Failure Disease stage 5 due to high potassium and protein. Now, I am receiving dialysis treatment 3 times a week out of home. They also diagnosed me with Acidosis, Generalized Weakness, HTN(hypertension), Hyperkalemia, Symptomatic Anemia, and Tachycardia. All of these diagnosis are new to me and I really don't understand but I am doing my best part to take care of myself the same way I treated my cancer and diabetes. Which my doctors tell me my diabetes is well controlled with an AC of 4.9. I will do my part and follow the doctors orders to take care of this Acute Renal Failure Disease for myself and my family. Thank you so much for having the time to read my story and I appreciate everyone and anyone who donates to help me overcome this obstacle in my life. I will use this founds to help me out with this new illnesses to move around, new way to eat, for my medications and treatments. All of this is new to my family and I. My mom, sister and I. Thank you all and God bless you all. May God give you the double in blessing to everyone. Thank you.
