Crush Cancer for Kevin

My nineteen-year-old son, Kevin, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In late June 2023, I took him to the hospital for severe abdominal pain, and it’s been a whirlwind of doctor visits, in-patient treatments, and a rollercoaster of emotions ever since. Kevin is also a post-split-liver transplant recipient, which caused him to be at a higher risk of immunosuppression. Due to his age and fragility, his team of doctors recommend that I be with him throughout his six-month chemotherapy treatments. While I have job protection, it comes at the price of no income. My son depends on me greatly for assistance to get to appointments, personal daily care, emotional support, and simply having his mom in his corner. I fear I will not be able to support him fully due to having to return to work to earn a living.
