Camp Crucis - 2016 Flood

As Texas receives more heavy rains this week, staff and volunteers are assessing the damage caused at Camp Crucis . This facility near Granbury, Texas is a summer camp ministry and retreat and conference center. It services hundreds of campers, and volunteers during the summer, its busiest season.
Stroud's Creek, the same beautiful water that typically creates a backdrop for the camp experience, is an offshoot of the Brazos River. Unprecedented high water in this area has affected multiple spaces at camp, including:
- Major water damage to two boys' cabins
- Some water in almost ALL girls' cabins
- Pool house
- Canteen
- Arts and Crafts cabin
Your help is needed! Donations will help cover:
- Replacing 50 mattresses
- Replacing 6 packaged terminal air conditioners (PTACs)
- Remediation supplies like floor fans, shop vacs, etc.
- Cleaning supplies
- Feeding volunteers
The summer season officially starts on June 12. Your quick action and generous support will directly impact the camp experience for hundreds of campers and volunteers this summer and years to come.
Many of us have learned to serve others at camp and have been served by this beloved place. Camp Crucis holds a special place in our hearts, and now it is time to give back and make a difference for the 2016 summer season and beyond.
Camp is a 501C3 non-profit organization. All donations, from $5 to $5,000 make a difference and help offset hard costs caused by this devastating flood. We are deeply grateful for your consideration of this cause.
