Conner's Summer in Thailand

Hey friends!
I am currently in my second semester at Southeastern Seminary pursuing my MA in Biblical Counseling. I am so humbled and excited for the opportunity that God has given me to be used by him this summer to put what I'm learning in the classroom into action.
I will be spending two months in Thailand doing outreach in the red light district and slum communities. My team will focus on building relationships with sex workers, students, and families. We will serve alongside a ministry building that offers counseling, art therapy, bible study, etc. and will also assist families with rebuilding homes, after school activities, and providing a safe, familiar environment for them.
This project is a part of the International Mission Board summer program Nehemiah Teams. Students from all over the country will be participating in different projects all over the world with the same goal: that the Gospel would be preached to the ends of the earth.
I created this page because the fact is, I simply cannot raise the adequate funds without the help from others. I humbly ask you to consider partnering with me in the work that God will do this summer. Although he definitly does not need me, he has graciousy allowed me this opportunity.
The money that needs to be raised will cover the cost of air travel, living expenses while in Thailand as well as neccesary vaccinations, visas, and my rent for while I am away.
A t-shirt design will be up soon that you may also purchase to support me financially. This way when you wear the shirt it can remind you to pray, and will be an opportunity for you to share with others about God's heart for the lost and the nations!
Lastly, I would like to plead with you to add me to your prayer list. The task ahead of me seems daunting, dark, impossible, and hopeless, yet I know that we serve a mighty God who delivers his people from the darkest of places. What an awesome God we have! He is in the business of restoring and reconciling his peope back to himself. Pray that I would have a heart of trust, boldness, flexibility, humility, and pray against the enemy in every area of my life.
