"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45
Howdy!
I have the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua on December 16th-23rd on a mission to fulfill the purpose of life: to know God, and to make him known! I believe that everywhere is a mission field, especially where we live and grow up, and it is also very important to go to the nations and help people know God, and just serve them. I have full faith that this is something God has called me to do. To be a light in a dark place, to be the salt of the earth, and to be an ambassador for Christ.
What we will be doing:
Among the many things we will get to be a part of, my team and I will partner with an existing organization that has already established deep roots in the community called One Collective. They have multiple ministries in Masatepe. A few include a farm that has orchards and chickens. The eggs are given to the school children because it is a great source of protein and may be all they eat that day. The farm also serves as an alcohol rehabilitation clinic. We may be involved in working with families that live near the dump and very poor. Since it will be around Christmas, we will be working with some children to share the Christmas story.
There are several other things also, including working with the local staff at Betos’ Café to minister and tech sound business and customer service principles. We may even get to teach courses from the things we have learned through our internship with Southwestern! I’m also excited to get to go to the homes of local families and share dinner with them. At night, we will be working on ourselves and our relationship with Christ – building a stronger foundation of faith. We will have the opportunity to explore what God has done in our lives and look forward to the path He has planned for us!
Anything Helps!!
If you are considering giving, first I want you to think of where your heart is at. Don't just give because you randomly saw this link, pray about it! The Lord should be the source of giving, and let Him guide your decision making. No donation is too big or too small, and I am extremely grateful for your help! Thank you for your trust and belief in me, as well as your trust and belief in God. Big things are going to happen through this experience, and I cannot wait for the journey to start!
