Help Our Dad Recover in Ireland

[3/26/23] UPDATE

We are overjoyed to share some wonderful news with all of you! Our dad's brain surgery has been completed, and the doctors were able to remove the tumor successfully. We are incredibly grateful for the skilled medical team that took care of him during this critical time.

Miraculously, our dad is already doing better than expected in his recovery. Though speaking remains a challenge, we have noticed significant improvements in his speech. We deeply believe that the love and support everyone has shown is making a world of difference in his recovery. Our dad has been so positive through this entire journey!

We cannot express enough gratitude for the generosity, prayers, and heartfelt messages we have received from every one of you. Your kindness has been an emotional strength for our dad during this challenging time. We are so blessed to have such a caring and compassionate community standing by our dad’s side!

As some of you may know, our parents (Craig and Kristi Gardiner) and two of our siblings recently traveled to Ireland to pick up our sister from her mission. It was supposed to be a joyous family reunion, but life had other plans. While on their trip, our dad suffered a stroke and has been in the hospital.

As we write this, our dad is currently undergoing emergency brain surgery to remove a large blood clot and a brain tumor. Despite being fully conscious and able to walk, the stroke has affected his speech center, leaving him unable to speak coherently and even use his right hand.

We're grateful for the care and attention our dad is receiving in Ireland, but we know that his journey to recovery is going to take time. Since their stay in Ireland has been extended indefinitely until he is cleared to travel home, we're reaching out to you for support.

We've set up this GoFundMe page to help cover their living expenses during their extended stay in Ireland, as well as to ease the burden of the medical bills. Any help you can offer, be it a donation or simply sharing this page with your friends and family, would mean the world to us.
