Croy Silver Band, to compete in Cheltenham
Donation protected
As winners of our section in the Scottish Championships, Croy Silver Band has qualified for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and we are delighted to be representing Scotland at the Finals to be held in Cheltenham later this year.
As this event is so far from home, the band is raising funds to help with the costs of travel and the two nights' of accommodation will be needed.
The band is a not-for-profit organisation, mostly made up of amateur players from Croy and the surrounding area, with current members aged between 18 and 70. Some have been life-long players in the band while others have learned more recently, or have returned to playing having learned at school. For a number of our players, this will be their first opportunity to compete at this level.
