Crowdfunding the next event

Hi, I'm Ryan... founder of WOBZ Events. An independent event brand that proudly promotes underground music and local up-and-coming artists/DJs.

Over the years, I’ve hosted 100+ events across venues such as Purple Turtle, Club Era, The Facebar and most recently, Sub89. In the process, we have booking over 100 talented DJs and MCs from across the UK.

With the cost of living, Reading nightlife slowly dying and several other obstacles including clubs BANNING DRUM & BASS... it's harder than ever to sustain grassroots events. But I’m not ready to stop!

Bit of a risky move whacking this online, but I simply won't be able to run events in the future if there isn't even a smidge of help from the general public and fellow ravers. Yes, that means YOU!

Headline DJs cost anything from £300-800 just to get the word out, and selling 150 tickets without that would prove very difficult.

We’re aiming to raise £500, which will go towards artist fees, travel and essential event costs like flyers and online promotion. Your support isn’t just about one night, it’s about keeping the scene alive, dancing with your friends as well as making new ones and backing the kind of events that don’t happen without real passion behind them.
