Crowdfunding Justin Garber’s Full-Length Album

Hello Friends and Family!

I'm reaching out with incredibly exciting and very important news - I just launched a GoFundMe asking for financial support to crowdfund my debut full-length studio album! As a singer/songwriter for the better part of the last 14 years, recently I've been determined to hone my skills as a guitarist, singer, composer, as well as live performer playing shows as often as I can. Last year, I decided it was time to take the leap and start recording my music professionally. I truly know in my heart there is no better time than right now to live my dreams to the fullest.

I began this journey by finding the right team to support my project. My friend Andrew McConathy (Drunken Hearts) began helping me with preproduction and getting my songs ready for the studio. My friend Dave Johnston (Yonder Mountain String Band) graciously offered to not only co-produce the album, but also to help me find the right studio for my style of music. We found John McVey (co-producer) at Cinder Sound Studio right here in Longmont, Colorado. Through help from Andrew, Dave, and John we found some amazing studio musicians to support me on the album - we rounded up Greg Garrison on bass (Leftover Salmon), Alex Johnson (Drunken Hearts) on drums and percussion, Adam Aijala (Yonder Mountain String Band) on electric guitar, Eric Moon on keys, John McVey (Cinder Sound) on backup guitar and backup vocals, and yours truly on acoustic guitar and lead vocals. We began recording in November of 2021 and over the course of the Fall, Winter, and Spring, we finished the first 3 singles, "Mark Twain," "Key to Life," and "Hearts and Hands."

The debut release, "Mark Twain," just came out last week and it sounds sooooo good! While I am beyond ecstatic about finishing these first three recordings, I am head over heels to create and finish a full-length album. This is where you come in! So much time and money must go into these projects, and I physically can't do it without your help. I am seeking $25,000 to pay for the remainder of the album from the initial recording phase through mixing, mastering, completion, and then of course, to bring it to market with the help of professional distribution services. These funds will pay for the studio musicians, the producers, as well as the engineer(s) recording, mixing, and mastering the album. In addition to the recording process itself, the funds will help print vinyl and support publishing efforts to get the album out to the World; all in support of a dream coming true.

There is no donation too small or too large. Donors receive a variety of gifts with their pledges; everyone who donates at least $10 will receive a digital download of the album upon completion. Just leave your email so I can contact you when the album is complete. I also am offering a solo show for the largest donor at their home or a mutually agreeable location of their choice. This can be scheduled following the completion of the fundraising efforts. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read my story.
