Hi, friends. My name is Al (Allison). My partner Ryan and I are reaching out to our community to ask for help financially as we decided it is best to move to Green Bay, Wisconsin from our home in Portland, Oregon.

This decision has come to us after three extremely hard years after the blow of the pandemic. The savings we had after working several jobs and sacrificing, sadly was used on bills to survive after rental and insurance increases along with the general inflation in the city. We all feel this, I know it is not only us, and we are lucky to have kept a roof over our heads. To continue, we will need to move to Wisconsin where my family will help us rebuild a community and live an easier life.

For background: I had to leave an extremely toxic work environment in 2021 and took a $10,000 pay cut. This was a really hard decision as my budget was impacted greatly, but was worth protecting my mental health. Cut to COVID-19 resurging and Ryan being out of work for all three jobs due to several cancellations for concerts. Because of COVID, he was not eligible for unemployment to help with the loss of income. This resulted in MONTHS of income loss, which is where our savings came into play. With my income being less than previous and Ryan being out of work, our savings dwindled to nothing within a year. We cannot catch up, we cannot save, we are stuck, we are trapped. We are using all of the resources possible, but we need help.

Please donate whatever you can, as moving over 2,000 miles across the country with gas prices the way they are, inflation staying strong, and the weather being incredibly unpredictable are going beyond our means.
