Hello!

Cru is my bright and rambunctious 4 year old who’s battling a very severe form of asthma. Since he was around five months old, we’ve tried countless medications, done nebulizer treatments round the clock, and have made regular visits/stays at the hospital.

In October of 2021, Cru went to bed with barely a sniffle and woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe, needing ambulatory services. By the time we arrived at the hospital, his body was almost lifeless. It was one of the most traumatizing events imaginable for us.

Since then, Cru has been receiving wonderful care at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. We had a week-long visit in November and have just returned from our second trip. He has another appt. with his pulmonologist in February, and then a procedure, called a bronchoscopy, after his 5th birthday in March.

We have done our best to keep up - financially and otherwise. Our health insurance is very hit or miss with what they will approve and cover, and it’s taken thousands just to get us in the door. Despite our best efforts of exhausting every possible resource, our income and accounts are no match for the cost and have been depleted.

We will be updating about Cru’s health frequently, keeping you in the loop every step of the way. Any encouragement or contribution you can provide to help support Cru would be greatly beyond appreciated.
