The Crowded Bookshelf hosted its first pop-up in April of 2022 at Intersect Brewing. Now, almost four years later, I'm preparing to start a new chapter!

The last four years of running a pop-up bookstore have been wonderful. I've been hosted by so many great local businesses and gotten to participate in amazing community events. And, of course, I've met so many lovely readers! This transition won't be changing any of that.

The decision to open a brick-and-mortar shop ultimately came from the desire to do more for my community (and my desire to stop moving books from place to place every weekend). A brick-and-mortar provides a true third place where people can gather, share ideas, learn new things, and be creative. It will allow me to host author events and book clubs and craft nights. The selection of books will be bigger and more diverse and still just as eclectic and weird, I promise.

I'm so lucky to be part of a community that strongly supports its local businesses. Opening a store is big and scary and feels just a tiny bit insane. But it is equally thrilling and unbelievable and full of possibilities.
