CROWD Stan White into Recovery

FOR: STAN WHITE, aka Leon Stanley White ll, aka
'Stan The Man'

HELLO FRIENDS , FAMILY AND TO NEW FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY.

We invite you to CROWD Stan into Recovery.

On January 1, 2024, Stan arrived at Methodist Woodlands, TX where he was diagnosed with an abdominal abscess and taken into surgery a few days later. In the ER Stan arrived with a big grin, stories to entertain and covered the Staff in laughter. He had to admit that celebrating New Year's in a Hospital gown was not what he had in mind for the first day of 2024.

We expected one surgery, but we experienced three abdominal surgeries during the month of January 2024. There were additional issues that appeared during our hospital days, those were Heart, Kidney, Infection and lack of appetite and lack of mobility. Stan endured these ups and downs at the Hospital for 38 Days, now 75.

In February 2024, Stan was transferred to a LTAC for further care, rehab and for physical therapy. Medical ups and downs are continuing. At this writing we are in our 75th Day where the restoration and recovery continues. We believe that no patient in a Hospital should be alone and his loved ones have been there for most of his 75 days and nights. His Family and Friends stand with Him.

We realize that we need help and outside resources. Driving to the first Hospital was 128 miles round trip and the current LTAC Hospital is a round trip of 212 miles round trip. It is all together possible that Stan will be transferred to a third location for the next level for care. And we are learning that eventually there will be a transfer to Home, a location in a beautiful spot but also remote for this kind of care. We will need to renovate the interior of a 35-year-old Home for getting through doors, for a better shower entrance, for needed medical equipment, for continued care supplies, for long term physical and occupational therapy and for travel expenses to meet his medical appointments.

Yes, in a twinkling of an eye, Life delivers surprises. We are working Seniors with new responsibilities, and we did not foresee these changes on our Horizon. We do not yet know the road ahead or the expenses coming our way.

Stan attended Texas Tech University, a proud member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, and lived in the Panhandle of Texas. His career was in Sales and in Banking. For the past years Stan was a contractor on the road for Banking Institutions. He spends his time with Family and with Friends. Stan volunteers in his community and has served on many Boards. One of his favorite pastimes over many years has been raising nine Golden Retriever Rescues and transporting Golden Retrievers into Rescue organizations in the Greater Houston TX area. He is most proud of his Family and a shared heritage, a Grandfather that established L. White Boot and Saddle Shop once located in Ft. Worth. One of his Family's recent recognitions was in the gifting of a special collection of firearms to the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco, Tx.

That is why we find ourselves here now. We ask you for your consideration in our focus to return Stan to a full recovery. He is a bright light for his Family and for his Friends. We dearly miss our Funny Guy who makes us laugh with all that Life brings our way.

We Thank You.

Psalm 41:3
The Lord sustains him on his sickbed, and in his illness restores him to full health.
