August is our debut feature film. This film has been years in the making. This movie comes directly from my own voice as a writer, actor, and director.

At its core, August is a coming-of-age story about self-acceptance. The film also follows four young adults who return to their hometown after leaving as teenagers and are forced to confront their pasts, the people they used to be, the choices they made, and the ways they have changed.

The movie follows a character struggling to accept himself while grappling with his upbringing, his sexuality, and the pressures of growing up and breaking free from generational curses.

This film has been a long time coming. I have been writing this script for over two years.

I want to do August right and bring it to life independently, in the best way possible. That means staying true to the story, the characters, and the honesty at the heart of the film. To do that, we are crowdfunding August so it can be made with the care, intention, and creative freedom it deserves, funded directly by our own community.

As an independent production, every contribution goes directly toward making the film possible, from paying for locations to hiring the crew and equipment, to supporting our cast and crew, to post-production and festival submissions.
