Crow Needs Your Help: Dental Surgery for the GH
Donation protected
Over the last year Crow has been in and out of the vet for issues with his teeth. It started with a dental cleaning to look into why he kept dropping his food and resulted in one small (but expensive) surgery, a 3AM trip to the ER, a second trip to the vet to have xrays under anesthesia, months of antibiotics, nights of lost sleep over figuring out what to do to help him while he cried uncomfortably, a second opinion at a new vet, and finally a trip to a doggie Dental Surgeon.
We walked out of there with a quote of $5-$8k depending on how long the surgery will take (she charges by the hour for all of the anesthesia, services, etc) and a security deposit of $7k just to walk through the door.
We now have a quest to figure out how to raise money to help this boy feel better- even if it means a scary 4hr surgery, 3 days of having a vet on call following the surgery to make sure he gets his medication and fluids, and several weeks of general recovery until he's all healed up. Friends- you know it's been a rough road and you know he's my only baby.
The surgeon does not have a finance option, so I would need to raise as much as possible as quickly as possible before putting the deposit on my card (plus paying for the pre-op bloodwork the week before). I've cried for months over how to help him and am finally asking for help in helping him. If you've got a little to spare and want to support the GH, this page is here. We booked the surgery date and need your help. All help is good help, even if it's $1. Let's get this greyhound feeling better and enjoying food again (even if he won't have any teeth and his mom will have to make him ground chicken! - b/c you know I'll do it, he's worth it).
