The Crossing For CF! 80 Mile Paddleboard Bahamas to Florida
Donation protected
Help support us in raising 15,000! We are paddling over 80 miles from Bahamas to the coast of Florida for 14-16 straight hours on June 22nd to raise awareness and funds for those living with the genetic lung disease, cystic fibrosis!
WHAT IS THE CROSSING for CF?
The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis is an epic long-distance endurance paddleboard challenge that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream from Bimini, Bahamas back to the Florida, Lake Worth Beach.
The event was born from a devoted father's journey to find hope for his 4-year-old daughter after she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Determined to help her, he uncovered the incredible healing power of the ocean for those battling CF, turning his love into action.
This journey of love and determination led to the creation of Piper’s Angels Foundation, a beacon of hope for countless families.

ABOUT CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria, leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients. There is no known cure, and the disease demands significant treatments every single day.
PIPER'S ANGELS FOUNDATION
Travis Suit's daughter Piper was diagnosed with CF when she was four years old and then in 2017, Travis created Piper's Angels Foundation which helps to support families and individuals impacted by CF through the foundation. Piper's Angels vision is to provide the most socially innovative solutions to the cystic fibrosis community to empower each individual and family to live their greatest life possible.
We encourage those who are fighting this battle courageously to reach out to us with ideas on how we can better serve our community.
Thank you so much in advance for whatever support you're willing to offer... and please don't forget to share this page with anyone who might be interested in donating and/or supporting the cause in any other way!
