Hello freind ...
I am Mona Zahed, a Palestinian mother of 4 young children. Muhammad, who dreams of being a businessman, lives a future doctor, while Sarah wants to be a pharmacist like her father, and my spoiled child loves football. Our life before October 7 was beautiful and full until that fateful day came.
The war began suddenly and we found our lives in ruins and we were at the mercy of the occupier. On the third day of the war, our street was warned of immediate evacuation because the building opposite us would be bombed. They fled immediately after waking the children from sleep and we went to a safe place, and here was the beginning of homelessness. Because the area was constantly threatened, we left my house to my sister’s house in another area until we were asked to leave Gaza, our beloved city, because it is a military combat zone.

We left there, fearing for our lives and for the safety of our children, and walked on foot for 3 continuous hours to reach a safe place.

It is a long and tiring story. We have been displaced up to 8 times, each time escaping death miraculously under the sounds of shells. Every place we go does not provide the natural human needs of food, water, electricity, fuel, and most importantly, safety.

As for Gaza, my husband’s pharmacy, which was newly established, was destroyed and we had not yet completed its installments, and my work center, where I teach lessons to students, was destroyed.

My wish is to collect money to get my children out of here for a better future because there is no education, no hospitals, and no security here.
The future of me and my husband has been ruined. Please help my children for a better future.
Hi again
A lot has happened, friends. But we are still alive..we have moved several times and now we are in a tent

In every displacement we live a bitter experience.. I don't know how to protect the children. How to calm them down. Should I hide them in my heart away from the shells.. But thanks be to God who always protects us.. But life is harsh here in the tent. The heat is intense during the day and cold at night. I feel sad for the children because they are not used to the sand and insects and the lack of a prepared bathroom. This is the least of their rights to sleep in a prepared place. So please help me because we need blankets, mattresses and many things but the prices are very expensive. Preparing a tent cost us $2,000. We are 8 people because he is my husband's father and his wife are also with us.. Please don't stop supporting and sharing the link with your friends.. I need your support before winter comes.. I hope to return or flee with my children outside the country. All mothers wish for winter to live in warmth with their children in front of the heater except for the mothers of Gaza who burn so that we can provide them with warmth

Hello friends...(new updat)
I am back again to complete what has been renewed in our current situation after moving to the tent The situation has worsened again.
I wished to write a happy ending to our displacement story, but unfortunately it has taken too long and winter is coming. We are 8 people in a small tent that lacks winter coverage and blankets. As you know, we left a year ago in summer clothes that were worn out from hand washing. I need your continuous support to keep us safe from winter. Yes, can you imagine that I am afraid of rain and cold for the children, just as I am afraid of shelling?
Prices here have gone crazy for everything. I won't lie to you, we are on the verge of famine. Did you know that the bread we eat is unhealthy and full of worms, but we try as much as possible to sift it. I can't believe what I'm saying. I just need to get out of this difficult life with my children.

New exciting news
I am so happy and excited to write this to you.
But it is a glimmer of hope for me... As you know, before the war I worked in cooking and marketing food online. So one of my friends suggested that I prepare some recipes to print a booklet and sell it to me to help me with the campaign. This was wonderful and I actually succeeded in that, but the idea did not stop here. There is a wonderful team with the help of my dear friend Luciana. They suggested expanding the idea and preparing a book of Palestinian recipes, and indeed that was finally done.
I am talking to you and this is the first day of publishing and marketing it. It is a book made with love with the help of a whole team of 20 artists and illustrators. The book is professionally drawn and of high quality. We only need to market and print it with your help. I am very happy that it will fulfill my dream that was destroyed by the war. Please follow my page on Instagram and participate in saving us by buying a book that will remain a memory of me in every home. Your support by buying the book will be a lifeline for my family.

It is a professionally illustrated and drawn recipe book that you will be very happy to own. Buy a book, share the pages and talk to friends.
Support my family and children, as I am waiting for you to get my life back again.
I would be happy if you leave a nice comment after your support for me
Hello again friends
I know this update is a little late but life here is hard.. but I want to share with you everything that happened with our family. They finally allowed us to return to our homes in northern Gaza when the temporary truce started.. and we happily packed our things to go home. We walked home and walked with the children for 3 hours. It was tiring and exhausting for everyone but the joy of returning home made us forget all that exhaustion .
I thank God that my house is fine and livable. We were suffering living in the tent as you know. The children also did not believe that they would return home and sleep in a bed. I thank God that he heard our prayers and fulfilled our wish to return

These are some of the most beautiful photos we took before starting our return journey. The joy is evident on our tired faces.

We arrived home and it was the happiest moment of our lives. Unfortunately, we thought that this happiness was the end of the war. Unfortunately, the war came back again and our suffering increased. Aid stopped, the crossings were closed, life stopped, and the bombing intensified.
What saddened us most was the complete destruction of my father’s house. This was a shock to me, my children, and my siblings. It is full of beautiful memories.
I don't know what crime we committed to deserve all of this. But they didn't stop there, they also ordered the evacuation of many areas, including my people's area, and they were displaced from their homes. I feel sad when this genocide continues with the world's silence. What's worse is that the matter has worsened until we are in a real famine. I never imagined that I would go through those moments where I could not provide my child with a loaf of bread. I believe that these are the hardest moments anyone will go through. I am not ashamed to say that I pretended to be full to provide my children with my loaf of bread.
I tried to pretend to be strong and resilient, but my heart was grieving inside. And during all this suffering, oppression and annihilation, God sent you a beautiful sign, which is the existence of a cooking book that was printed and sold, and everyone helped in marketing the book, and its proceeds went to my family and to many other families.

The book was sent by a wonderful friend with one of the delegations coming to Gaza. This was one of the most beautiful moments that restored my hope in life. Here is a picture of the children examining the book.
I wanted to share these moments with you amidst the difficult days we are still living through. For more than three months, the closure of the crossings and the denial of aid entry by any means has led to increased famine, insanely high prices, and a 40 %increase in the commission required to obtain cash.
I just want to make something clear, friends: every support or donation you make, no matter how small, is a great hope for my family and for many Palestinian families to survive this famine that has decimated so many.
We are here trying hard to survive all this. The aid that is reaching us includes flour, which costs a 1000$, rice, sugar, oil, and many other important things whose prices are beyond imagination.
I just hope that you don't forget, when talking about Gaza and its people, whose energy and life have been exhausted by a war that has lasted two years and is still ongoing.
Finally, there is a positive update. There is another edition of the cookbook, with two of our easy and delicious Gazan recipes added. So, you can also support us by ordering the book, sharing its link, and talking about it with your friends. I will continue to share everything that happens with my family with you, because you are my second family who stood by us in the most difficult times of our lives.

Friends, I want you to know that it has become exhausting and frustrating for us to continue struggling just to survive or to provide a piece of bread for our children. For almost two years, we have been trying to survive without any of the necessities of life, such as electricity, schools, hospitals, or any healthy food. We are being exterminated here without guilt. But your presence and support by our side really helps. Every dollar you donate provides us with what we need. So, I hope that when you read my words, you will share this link, as it means a lot to us.
